I am a qualified social worker and have been working with children and young people for over 30 years. I have always been passionate about working in this field due to my own personal childhood experiences. This is what motivated me to initially work as a social worker and later establish Step Ahead Services. I believe that all children and young people need to feel worthwhile, respected, nurtured and loved. I wish to offer them hope and encouragement to achieve in life, no matter what their circumstances. Running my own business allows me to shape the support we offer, both through my own knowledge and experiences, and also through the expertise of my colleagues and contacts. Integral to my work is a message of encouragement and empowerment to help all children and young people reach their own unique potential.
